In achieving the SDG’s the participation of girls is essential. Their equality and empowerment is both an objective, as well as part of the solution: with their newly acquired knowledge they help themselves, as well as each other and their communities. Through their individual empowerment and granting equal opportunities, more equality is generated.

Talloze onderzoeken hebben aangetoond dat organisaties met meer vrouwen aan de top het op alle fronten beter doen. Met meer vrouwelijke politieke leiders zou de aarde wellicht minder oorlogen kennen. In het hoger en universitair onderwijs studeren nu meer meiden af en met betere cijfers. Maar dat vrouwelijk talent zien we niet terug in topposities.
